Mary Louise Crabtree Rucker

Mary Louise Crabtree Rucker, age 93, formerly of Paducah, Kentucky, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
 
Mary Louise was born in Rockwood, Tennessee, on Monday, April 20, 1931, to Elza and Bessie Crabtree. Employed at Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion Plant, Louise met and later married Dr. Richard Henry Rucker on Saturday, August 3, 1963. Shortly after, the newlyweds moved to Paducah. Louise was a godly, loving, nurturing wife and mother of four children, Edmund, Jennifer, Patrick, and Walter. She enjoyed playing hymns on the piano, cooking, sewing, and working outdoors. She loved all animals and was devoted to caring for stray cats.
 
Mary Louise Rucker, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Danford (Mike) of Ridge Farm, Illinois; her sons, Edmund Birten Rucker (Melissa) of Lexington, Kentucky, Patrick Thomas Rucker (Dawn) of Montgomery, Alabama, and Walter Winfield Rucker (Susan) of Athens, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Emily Gail Rucker, Kaitlyn Louise Rucker, Joshua Walter Rucker, Seth Bradley Rucker, Aaron Nicholas Rucker, and Jared Thomas Rucker; her great-grandson, Owen Brooks Rucker.
 
Mary Louise was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Richard Rucker; her parents, Elza Crabtree and Bessie LaRue Crabtree; her brother, Ernest Crabtree, and half-brother, Hamp LaRue.
 
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Entombment will take place at Brook Hill Memorial Park and Mausoleums.
 
Visitation will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 22, 2025.
