Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Koebel, Britt, Benson, J.D. passed away on June 14, 2023 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Mercy Health Lourdes at the age of 95. She was the daughter of Maybelle H. and Raymond H. Koebel, M.D. of Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, the widow of John R. Britt, D.D.S. of Gross Pointe, Michigan, and the widow of William H. Benson, Esq. of Ft. Lauderdale and Pompano Beach, Florida. She was an accomplished pianist of both classical and popular music and was a graduate of the Detroit Conservatory of Music, the University of Michigan Schools of Music and General Studies, and the Wayne State School of Law in Detroit, Michigan.
Mary Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Barbara J. Mundrick of Paducah, Kentucky; grandchildren, Katie Mundrick (Alex) Walters and Holley Britt (Mike) Townsend; great grandchildren, Kai Walters, Neveah, Araiah, Emmaleah, and John Michael Townsend.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
