Marie Alsip

Theresa Marie Scheer Alsip, age 92, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 5:30 A.M. Friday, April 28, 2023 at Lakeway Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Marie was born in Paducah on Sunday, July 27, 1930 to William and Odelia Scheer. She enjoyed cooking, camping and fishing. She loved to spend time with her family and friends playing board, and card games. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Mrs. Alsip is survived by her sister, Mary Catherine Sutton of Benton Kentucky; her brother, Frances Scheer (Dorothy) of Paducah; her many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Alsip was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Alsip; her parents, William Scheer and Odelia Roof Scheer; her sister, Mary Denise Willett, her brothers, William, Henry, Martin and Maurice Scheer.

A funeral mass is scheduled for 12:00 P.M. Friday, May 5, 2023 at St. John Catholic Church with Father Bruce Fogle officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:30 A.M. Friday, May 5, 2023 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
