Lourice Olsson Thompson, 92 of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Baptist Health Paducah, Kentucky.
She was born on August 19, 1932, to the late Sigfried Reinhold and Lucille Marie Elfstrom Olssen.
Lourice was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a hairstylist at Chantillies Salon, retiring in 2004. Lourice was truly one of a kind. If you met her, you would never forget her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all her knew her. Lourice had an interest in feeding wild animals that showed up in her yard. Bird watching was also something she thoroughly enjoyed.
Lourice is survived by her son, Ronnie Thompson (friend, Michelle) of LaCenter, KY, Daughter-in-Law, Nancy Thompson of Paducah; four grandchildren, Max Woods (Julie) of Hickory, KY, Brandon Thompson (Amanda) of Paducah, KY, Dylan Thompson (Lauren) of Paducah, KY, Cody Thompson (Hayleigh) of Paducah, KY; four great grandsons, Jacob Woods, Layton Thompson, Gavon Thompson, and Jett Thompson; and 3 great granddaughters, Courtney Woods, Taylor Woods and Kyla Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudell Thompson; son, Steve Thompson; brother, Fred Olsson; sister-in-law, Peggy Olsson; her stepmother, Ruth Grimm; two stepsisters, Ruthie and Martha; a special friend, Henry Traylor; and her parents.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Martin officiating.
Visitation will be at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, until the time of service.
