Lori Ann Harper was born to Rosie Nell (DeBoe) Harper & Jewell Thomas Harper, Sr., on May 1st, 1961, in Clinton Hospital of Clinton, KY, as the baby girl to the family. She graduated from Hickman County High School in Clinton, KY, in the year 1979 and furthered her education at West Kentucky Vocational School, where she majored in Secretarial Management and Accounting in the 1980s. She moved to Virginia for work, where she notably worked as a secretary for the FBI, a teller in two banks, sat with the elderly, and even modeled occasionally. Lori Ann was outspoken, loving, and always thought of family first. Easily known as everyone's favorite auntie and Grammy.
Lori Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Rosie Nell (DeBoe) Harper and Jewell Thomas Harper, Sr (Columbus, KY), and her sister Anna Louise Jones.
She leaves behind her son Donovan (Ana) Harper and daughter Cherese Martin; grandchildren, Khari Martin, Joshua Giovanni Vasquez, Alana Rose Harper, Sandra Louise Harper, Breanna Isabelle Smith, Tiffany Isabelle Smith, Alivyah Godivah Harper, and Dayanna Rose Harper; her siblings, Jacqueline Maria Mason (Mayfield, KY), Vanessa Lorraine Lightner (Clinton, KY), Rolanda Faye Adams (Clinton, KY), Hilda Rosemary Harper (Columbus, KY), Jewell Thomas Harper, Jr. (Union City, TN), James Lawrence Harper (Columbus, KY); along with many of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews even a few great-greats.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Arlington.
A Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Columbus City Cemetery.
