Lisa Jill Lawrence Clapp, known affectionately as Jill by those who loved her, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the age of 61. Born in Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, on Saturday, May 4, 1963, she became a dedicated and dependable professional, touching lives through her work as a phlebotomist and medical assistant.
Jill was renowned for her steadfast work ethic and her unwavering commitment to helping others. Her colleagues admired her for her determination and the meticulous care she devoted to her craft. Beyond her professional life, Jill was an active and devoted member of the Lone Oak Church of Christ, where she found spiritual fulfillment and a community that shared her values.
Jill's passions extended to her love for the fellowship within her church community, and her friends and peers will deeply miss her. Her spirit, characterized by compassion and dedication, will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Mrs. Clapp is survived by her daughter, Lindsay Jill Clapp of Paducah, Kentucky; her son, Justin Lee Clapp of Texas; her father, Larry Jo Lawrence, and step-mother, Mona Lawrence, of Adams, Tennessee; her brothers, Troy Lawrence of Smyrna, Tennessee, and Drew Lawrence of Covington, Louisiana.
Mrs. Clapp was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Rudolph Kaufman.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Bro. Josh Lawrence officiating.
