Leonard Ray Wring, 94 of Paducah passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at his residence in Paducah. He was born on September 5, 1930, in Mexico, KY, to the late Coy and Beulah Chambliss Wring.
He formerly worked as an Operator at the Illinois Central Railroad and was marked by a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence. Leonard was of the Christian faith. Later, together with his beloved wife, Sandy, they embarked on a successful venture of flipping houses and managing rental properties. Their teamwork and entrepreneurial spirit built a thriving business, strengthened their bond, and created lasting memories.
An outdoor enthusiast, Leonard found joy and tranquility in nature. He had a fondness for the ocean and cherished his and Sandy’s walks along the beach in Panama City, Florida. The sparkle in his eyes was most evident when surrounded by his children and grandchildren, whose visits and milestones were the highlights of his life.
Leonard is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandra Lee Bulman Wring of Paducah; five daughters, Linda (Neil) Pittman of Wickliffe, KY, Cindy Perkins of LaCenter, KY, Chris Cavanaugh of LaCenter, KY, Donna Evans of Louisville, KY and Tina (Darrell) Covington of Louisville, KY; two Step-Children, Keith (Dawn) Kranz of Nashville, TN and Lorri (Randy) Otey of Paducah; his thirteen grandchildren, Tyler (Ashley) Pittman of LaCenter, KY, Amanda (Drew) LaFont of Paducah, Chad Perkins of Santa Fe, TX, Angela Bannick of Nashville, TN, Jessica Evans of Atlanta, GA, Katie Evans of Louisville, KY, Karen (Scott) Carby of Louisville, KY, Matthew Covington of Louisville, KY, Maegan Elzy of Nashville, TN, Julianna (Liz) Kranz of Nashville, TN; Ryan (Cathy) Childs of Memphis, TN; Haley (Mike) Orred of Hendersonville, TN and Chandler (Tyler) Faith of Hendersonville, TN; his twenty-three great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Coy Wring; two brothers, and two sisters.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
