Julie Huff, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at the age of 65 at her home in Paducah. She was born on October 29, 1959, in Paducah, Kentucky, to the late Joseph Lee and Joyce Ann Dixon Huff. Julie's life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to her family, career, and faith.
Julie's professional journey was marked by her commitment to the Paducah City School System, where she served with distinction as the Director of Finance until her retirement. Her meticulous attention to detail and passion for education made her an invaluable asset to the school system, and her legacy of excellence continues to benefit the students and staff.
A devout Christian, Julie was an active member of the Lone Oak First Baptist Church. Her love for teaching was evident in the many years she devoted to leading children's Sunday School. Julie's faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she found great joy in participating in the church's Bible Study group, where she formed lasting friendships and deepened her spiritual understanding.
Julie's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She was an avid sports fan, with a particular fondness for the University of Kentucky and Paducah Tilghman High School teams. Many an evening was spent cheering on her favorite players, a pastime that brought her immense pleasure. Her love for her pets was equally profound, and they provided her with companionship and comfort throughout her life. In her leisure time, Julie could often be found engrossed in her computer, exploring the vast digital world and staying connected with friends and loved ones. Her technological savvy was just another facet of her multifaceted personality.
Julie is survived by her sister, Linda Huff of Paducah; her two brothers, Scott Huff of East Longmeadow, MA and Stuart (Connie) Huff of Paducah; her nephews, Samuel (Mary) Huff of Paducah and Caleb (Emily) Huff of Paducah; her great-nephews and niece, Simon Huff, Corinne Luckett and Gavin Luckett, along with her lifelong friend, Carol Ullerich of Paducah.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2025 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Lone Oak with Dr. Dan Summerlin officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Kenton Cemetery in Paducah. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Lone Oak.
