Julie Golightly, age 75, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026, at her home. Julie was born on April 21, 1951, to Lawrence and Marie (Sales) LeNeave. Julie was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School. Julie became a Registered Nurse through Paducah Junior College and Paducah Community College. She had a full career, spanning three decades, in Nursing and administration. Beginning at Western Baptist, working in labor and delivery and assisting with air transport. Julie transitioned to administration and managed outpatient surgery at Western Baptist. Julie ended her career as the designer, developer, and manager of the SurgiCare outpatient Surgery Center, all in Paducah, Kentucky.
Raising two athletic sons, Julie enjoyed watching her sons play their sport. Lone Oak High School baseball for Mike and basketball for Chris. Julie was also so proud of her two grandchildren, Alec & Ansley, and loved to show them off whenever possible. Julie had many beloved cats and dogs over the years, leaving behind her current dog, Bella Lou. After the boys were grown, Mike and Julie enjoyed traveling abroad for sightseeing and tropical trips. Julie’s favorite band was the Eagles, and they attended multiple Eagles concerts.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Golightly; two sons, Mike and his wife, Michele Golightly, and Chris Golightly, all of Paducah, Kentucky; one sister, Shirley Bauermeister, and husband, Joe, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Alec Golightly and Ansley Holland and husband, Will; along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were her parents, Lawrence and Marie LeNeave.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Mt. Kenton Cemetery in Paducah, with Sherry Golightly officiating.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
