Julia Ann DeJarnett, age 89, of Paducah, Kentucky, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 23, 2024. Born on Thursday, December 20, 1934 to Thomas and Anna Asher, she was a cherished member of the Lone Oak Church of Christ and an animal lover at heart. Julia's life was characterized by her unwavering faith and the kindness she extended to all of God's creatures.
 
Julia's life journey, adorned with compassion and faith, leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire those who were privileged to know her. She will be profoundly missed and eternally remembered for the light she brought into the world.
 
Mrs. DeJarnett is survived by her son, Rickie DeJarnett of Paducah; her grandchildren, Nick (Johnna) DeJarnett, Clay (Alicia) Stevens, Corey (Chrysta) DeJarnett, Courtney (Benji) Nevatt, Tori (John) Alford, and Caleb (Taylor) DeJarnett; 23 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
 
Mrs. DeJarnett was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene DeJarnett; her daughter, Vickie DeJarnett Stevens Ballard; her grandson, Jeffrey Aaron Stevens; her parents, Thomas David Asher and Anna Bertie Cooper Asher.
 
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Dr. Ed Grogan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 P.M. Tuesday August 27, 2024 at the Lone Oak Chapel.
