Judy Hays

Judy Hays, age 86, of Melber, Kentucky, went to be with her Lord and Savior on, October 5, 2024 peacefully at her home. 

She was a beloved wife, devoted mother and loving grandmother! Judy went to New Concord Baptist Church.  She was a true farmer’s wife, supporting her husband and three sons in their farming activities.  She enjoyed cooking and if you ever stopped by she would say “stay and eat with us”! She loved nothing more than cooking and serving in her community! She loved having her family gatherings, gardening, canning and working in her flower gardens. She was a Proverbs 31 lady, with a heart for her husband and great love for her family!
 
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Truman Gene Hays, three sons, Bruce Kent (Amy) Hays, Gene Dale (Jill) Hays and Greg Todd (Renee) Hays all of Melber, Kentucky; two sisters, Sue Orange and Wilda Hubbard both of Lone Oak, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Dorothy Hays, Cunningham, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
 
Preceding in death were her parents, Ernest Porter Gibson and Ida Mildred (Womble) Gibson; and daughter-in-law, Melanie Hays.
 
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Cruse officiating.  Burial will follow at the New Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Melber, Kentucky.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
