Juanita “Nita” Park, 95, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at her home on Friday, July 12, 2024.
Mrs. Park, a lifelong resident of Paducah, was born on November 8, 1928, to the late, Louis Sebastion Shaffer and Alva Elizabeth Houser Shaffer. She was the Owner and Operator of the Ritz Beauty Shop and Nita’s Beauty Shop.
Nita was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Altar Guild for 40-plus years, the Social Club, and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She was also very involved with the Paducah Ambassadors, local charities, and the community.
Nita is survived by her daughter, Jennie Park Freels, and husband Butch of Paducah; a son, Paul B. Park, and his wife Helen of Greenville, Texas; two grandchildren, Louis Park (Natosha) and Melissa Park Tran (Andrew); a step-grandson, Jason Freels (Beth); eight great-grandchildren, MaddieClaire, MaveryRose, MasonGrace, Liam, Elizabeth, Harrison, Anderson, and Mallory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Eugene Park; two sisters, Sally Mungle, and Mayda Mueller; and four brothers, Brenton Shaffer, H.T. Shaffer, Herman Shaffer, and Thel Shaffer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. David Appold officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
