Juanita Louise Salvi, aged 99, of Paducah passed away Monday, January 6, 2025, at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation in Paducah, Kentucky. She was born on July 14, 1925, in Alamo, Tennessee, to the late Aubrey Chester and Mamie Pearl Cook Cox.
She was self-employed, touching many with her entrepreneurial spirit as an independent saleswoman for Tupperware. She was a member of the Lone Oak Church of Christ, Juanita's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. She lived her beliefs through her actions, contributing to her community and church with unwavering commitment. Her involvement with the McCracken County Senior Citizens Center was a testament to her dedication to service. There, she shared her love for music as a member of the RSVP "Kitchen Band" and imparted her zest for life by teaching exercise classes.
She is survived by her two daughters, Marcia Salvi (Leonard) Freehof of Las Vegas, NV and Shelia Salvi (Peter) Masi of Santa Rosa, CA; a son, John (Tina) Salvi of Paducah, KY; her two sisters, Jo Dunning of Boaz, KY and Nancy Ritchie of Paducah, KY; her two grandchildren, Regan Vincent (Brenna) Masi of Santa Rosa, CA and Timothy Weston Freehof of McLean, VA; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Joseph Salvi.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Friday, January 10, 2025 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Lone Oak with Paul Wingfield and Jamey Boone officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Friday, January 10, 2025 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Lone Oak.
