Joyce Ann Brown, age 79, of Paducah, Kentucky, known affectionately as Annie to her loved ones, left us on November 21, 2024. She was born in Paducah on Wednesday, January 10, 1945, to Pete and Meme Phelps. Her warm spirit graced this earth for nearly eight decades.
Annie's dedication to her community was evident through her service of over 15 years as a beloved cook at Oakview Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation. A faithful member of the Rosebower Baptist Church, she embodied the true essence of fellowship and was always ready with a helping hand or a comforting meal.
A "people person" at heart, Annie's passion for life shone brightly through her interests in camping, sewing, and quilting. Her friendly demeanor made her a cherished figure among her peers and an enduring light within her circle.
Annie's radiant smile and generous spirit will be dearly missed, but the memories she stitched into our lives will forever provide warmth and comfort.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her sons, Greg Brown and Chris Brown (Sara), all of Paducah; her brother, Donnie Phelps (Glenda) of Reidland, Kentucky; her grandson, Jeremiah Brown (Lacey); her great-grandchildren, Jaycee and Kynzlee; her brother-in-law, Jack Marshall of Marshall County, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Travis Allen Brown; her parents, Ira Virgil “Pete” Phelps and Magdalene “Meme” Turner Phelps; her sisters, Patsy Marshall and Betty Boatwright; her brother-in-law, Robert Boatwright.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 25, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Jeremy Short officiating. Burial will follow at Rosebower Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the funeral home.
