Joy Tabers, age 75, of Paducah passed away at 11:29 a.m. Sunday, May 21, 2023 at her home. Joy was of Baptist faith and a 1965 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School. Joy was a retired Surgical Tech. Joy loved to go to garage sales, loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and spending time with them was the highlight of her day.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Dawn Kelley of Ledbetter, KY and Laura Lee Tabers of Paducah; one son, Terry D. Kelley of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren, Barbara Katlynn Tabers, Hunter Brooks Kelley Harmon and wife, Andrea, Kaylee Brooks Kelley and Dustin Gabriel Tabers; five great grandchildren, Colson Michael Mayfield, Brayden Lee Mayfield, A’Nyah Rose Perry, A’Lani Kay Jefferson and Aubrey Olivia Kelley.
Preceded in death was parents, Roy Ishmael Brooks and Edna Barbara Few Brooks; one brother, Roy Daniel Brooks.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2023 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Donna Hawkins officiating. Inurnment burial will be family only at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
