Johnnie Elrod

Johnnie Elrod, 63, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at her residence.
 
Johnnie was born on November 18, 1961, to the late, John Erwin and Ruth Clark Elrod, in Paducah, Kentucky.  She had worked at Hobby Lobby for 18 years, Trees n Trends during the Christmas season and spent many years as a dedicated associate at Lowe's, where her hard work and friendly demeanor were appreciated by both colleagues and customers. Her commitment to her community was evident through her active membership at St. Matthew Lutheran Church.  Johnnie was an artist at heart, she found joy in painting, creating beautiful works that reflected her love for life. Her garden was a testament to her patience and care, and her laughter often filled the air at the local bowling alley, where she enjoyed the camaraderie of the game.

Johnnie's zest for life and her unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her legacy of love and joy will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
 
She is survived by a sister, Debbie Abanathy of Gilbertsville, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.
 
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Grief and Vickie Neal.
 
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
 
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the service hour of 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
