John W. Stone, age 70, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at his residence.
John was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on December 9, 1953, to the late John William Stone Sr. and Sarah Young Stone. John was a retired salesman who had worked with various companies, with his last tenure at Sanyo Corporation of America. In retirement, he found joy on the greens at Paxton Park Golf Course, a place where he was not just a member but a part of a close-knit community that shared his passion. John had an enduring love for old movies and music, and with his collection of records, he could tell you the methods and messages behind the music with each selection. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.
John is survived by his daughter, Betsy Laughter (Joey) of Marion, Arkansas; son, Jeffrey Stone of Paducah, Kentucky; sister, Patricia Harmon of Middle Haddam, Connecticut; and five grandchildren, Hannah Miller, Matthew Stone, both of Paducah, Kentucky, and Lake, Lexie, and Ann Ashley Laughter of Marion, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
