John P. Dillon

John P. Dillon, age 86, of Wickliffe, formerly of Selmer, Tennessee, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 at his home. 

John was born in Selma, Tennessee on June 14, 1937 to the late Joshua Arlie and Pauline Donahoe Dillon. He was a retired tug boat operator and member of Local Union 773 in Cairo, Illinois.  John was a devoted coon hunter, raising and training coon dogs. He was a great joke teller, a very hard worker and will be remembered by his family as a good provider who always put his family first.
John is survived by his wife of 67 years, JoAnn Dillon; two daughters, Rhonda Bickerstaff (Eddie) of New Madrid, Missouri and Laura Harris of Fort Knox, Kentucky; one son, Randall Dillon (Dava) of Fairdealing, Kentucky; two sisters, Nola Rigsby and Judy Drake (David), both of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Lee Dillon of St. Louis, Missouri; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Evelyn Lowrance; and four brothers, Ted Dillon, Gene Dillon, Jerry Dillon, and Joe Dillon.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe with Bro. Dee Hazelwood officiating.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Blandville. 

Visitation will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the service time of 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe.
