John E. Pierce, Sr., age 63, of Paducah, formerly of Utica, New York, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at his residence.
John was born in Utica, New York on December 19, 1958 to the late John Irving and Lucille Parker Pierce. He was a very dedicated and hard-working man, most recently serving as the manager for Harbor Freight Tools in Paducah. John will be remembered by his family as being the most loving husband, father and grandfather.
John is survived by his wife of 37 years, Teresa Hoffert Pierce; son, Dr. John E. Pierce, Jr. (Ashley) of Paducah; three sisters, Gail Petronella Day of St. Petersburg, Florida, Katy Maggio of Utica, New York and Jean Murphy of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; three brothers, Michael Pierce of Arkansas, Richard Pierce (Christine) of Frankfort, New York and Randy Pierce (Dawn) of Hicksville, New York; four grandchildren, John “Tripp” Pierce, III, Hadlee Pierce, Grady Pierce and Keelyn Pierce, all of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jahna Marie Pierce; a sister, Rebecca Worman; and his parents.
A memorial visitation will take place from 4:00 pm until 6:30 pm on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes. Immediately following visitation, friends who wish to participate are asked to share their special memories of John.
