Jodie Brown, 45, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at her home.
Jodie was born on March 25, 1980, to the late Samuel Morrison and Julie Rouse Parker in Danville, Illinois. Her passion for her work, her faith, and her enjoyment of life's simple pleasures left a warm and indelible mark on all who knew her. For many years, Jodie was the friendly face that many in Paducah woke up to, as she diligently delivered the daily news to their doorsteps as a Delivery Agent for the Paducah Sun. Rain or shine, Jodie took pride in connecting her community to the world at large, believing in the power of informed society. She was not just a carrier of news but a purveyor of cheerfulness, often offering a kind word along with the paper. Jodie's was as an ordained minister of the Christian faith. She also found joy in the kitchen, cooking up elaborate meals for friends and family. Her love for reading kept her mind active. Bingo nights were also special occasions for Jodie, where her competitive spirit and laughter were as vibrant as the bingo cards she dabbed with such enthusiasm. Above all, Jodie loved road trips, embracing the open road with a spirit of discovery and excitement.
Jodie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Damien Brown; two daughters, Alexis Brown of Paducah, and Brittaney Rouse of Danville, Illinois; two sons, Nicholas Brown (Kaitlynn) of Paducah, and Isaac Morrison of Paducah; four grandchildren, Grayson lane, Marc Bowers, Mia Trimble, and Madison Rouse; a sister, Jennifer Roach of Metropolis, Illinois; two brothers, Justin Morrison of Paducah, and Christopher Spears of Paducah.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Mitch Coy officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service hour of 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
