Jimmy Lee Young

Jimmy Lee Young, aged 74, of Columbus, Kentucky, passed away on December 1, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on June 4, 1950, Jimmy led a life marked by passion and devotion, finding joy in the simplicity of nature and the warmth of his family.

An avid fisherman, Jimmy spent countless serene hours by the water, where he felt most at home. He was a loving husband and father whose guidance and affection shaped the lives of his family. His interests extended to the collection of guns, showcasing a deep respect and knowledge for each piece in his care. Jimmy's legacy is one of quiet strength and enduring love. He will be fondly remembered for the light-hearted tales of his fishing adventures and the tender moments he shared with his loved ones. Jimmy’s spirit, undeniably woven into the lives he touched, continues to inspire and comfort those he has left behind.
 
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Gayle Hudson Young; two sons, Thomas Lee (Lynn) Young of Paris, Tennessee, and Jerry Michael Young of Columbus, Kentucky; and a granddaughter, Addyson Young.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Lee and Mertis White Young; and three brothers, James Young, Joe Young, and Jerry Young.
 
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Columbus Cemetery in Columbus, Kentucky.
