Jessie Woodrow Terry Jr. “Junior” age 83 of Cunningham KY, loving father of six, grandfather of twelve, great grandfather of ten, and precious husband to Bonnie Gail McWaters Terry, passed away at his residence on August 6th, 2022.
Junior was a 1957 graduate of Cunningham High School. He worked many places, beginning at the Deena Lamp Factory, where he began learning his trade as a machinist. He then went on to become the President of the Union of CTS, a foreman for NCI, and eventually became a Journeyman Machinist and President of the Machinist Union for VMV Railroad Enterprises. Along the way, he met Mrs. Bonnie and they spent almost 48 years of marriage together. He was of the Baptist faith, holding membership at Milburn Baptist Church. Junior was best known as an avid farmer, always tending to many different types of livestock. When he wasn’t tending to his animals, you could find him sitting in his favorite chair watching NASCAR races, a UK ball game, or at the dinner table waiting on Mrs. Bonnie’s famous cooking. Junior is remembered for being a wealth of knowledge, always having a smile on his face, and there was never a dull moment when he was a part of a crowd.
Junior is survived by his wife: Bonnie Gail McWaters Terry, four children: Diana Smith, J.W. Terry III (Janet), Patrick Terry (Jenny), and Angela Langston (Bradley), and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
