Jean Englert, age 92, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at her home.
Jean was born on October 20, 1932 to the late Luther Ernest Carney and Lucille Rollins Carney. Jean was a long-time member of the St. John Catholic Church where she was a dedicated member, helping with bereavement meals and the St. John Picnic. She enjoyed attending the Senior Citizens Exercise Class. She was a true farmer’s wife working along the side of her late husband in his farming activities.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Englert Lane of Louisville, Kentucky and Ann Englert Nootz of Naples, Florida; one son Pat Englert (Sheri) of Paducah, Kentucky; one brother, Cornelius “Cotton” Carney (Connie) of Newport , North Carolina; four grandchildren, Rachel Englert Back (Brandon), Sarah Englert Witt (Cody), Emily Lane Rosiello (Gina) and Cas Lane (Megan Ward Lane); three great-grandchildren, Lane Rosiello, Madelyn Lane and Charlotte Lane.
Preceding in death were her husband Edward Lee Englert, two sons, Richard Allen “Dickie” Englert and Gerald Edward “Jerry” Englert; one brother, Luther Ernest Carney; son-in-law, Thomas Nootz and her parents.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2025 at the St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Bruce Fogle officiating, Burial will follow at the St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
