Janice L. Cash, 85 of Paducah passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, at her residence in Paducah, Kentucky. She was born on November 2, 1939, in Madison, Indiana, to the late Glenn Richard and Dorothy Mae Garrett Cash.
Janice was a graduate of Madison High School in Madison, IN. She dedicated her life to caring for others as a compassionate and skilled nurse until her retirement. Her unwavering faith was evident through her active involvement in the Baptist community, where she touched many lives with her kindness and generosity.
Janice's zest for life was infectious, and she could often be found sharing her love for music with friends and family. Her passion for karaoke brought joy and laughter to all who enjoyed watching her perform. She was a beloved member of her Eagles family, where she formed lasting friendships and created cherished memories. Her love for her faithful companion, Tippy, was unparalleled. Their bond was a testament to her loving nature and her ability to nurture those around her.
Janice is survived by her grandchildren, Hailey Nicole Hartwell and John C. Hartwell; her adopted daughter, Renesia Qualls of Paducah; a niece, Vicki Skelton of Paducah and a nephew, Eli Gonzalez of Cincinnati, OH.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; a husband, Richard James LaPointe; a son, Louis Gregory Hartwell and a sister, Ruth Anna Cash Skelton.
