James S. Price, age 85, of Paducah, passed away at 2:47 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2023 at Mercy Health Lourdes. James retired as a chemical operator from Air Products, Calvert City, KY. James was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved the outdoors and traveling to many different world wide locations to hunt and fish. He camped with his his family in many different parts of the world.
James was a member of the Veterans Sons of Confederate Lloyd Tilghman Camp #1495, Boy Scouts of America, the U.S. Ground Observer Corp., National Rifle Association and the Jackson Purchase Rifle and Pistol Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Price Whitney (Tim), of Dexter, KY; one son, Keith Price (Sharon) of Reidland, KY; four grandchildren, James Brent Price (Devon) , Lindsey Michelle Wurth (Josh), Ian Patrick McManus (Erin) and Collin Reese McManus; eight great-children, Austin James Price, Owen Hendrick Price, Ansley Madelyn Wurth, Hadlee Jo Wurth, Tristan McManus, Dakota McManus, Tyler Grace McManus and Vada McManus; two step-great grandchildren, Brody Jenkins and Abigail Reese Jenkins .
Service will be held at 1:00 p. m. Friday, December 1, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
