James “Jim” A. Burke, 82, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Mercy Health Lourdes.

Jim was a native of Denver, Colorado, a Navy Veteran, loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed old cars, motorcycles, playing his trumpet, listening to Big Band music, puzzles, playing cards, and telling jokes. He was an avid bowler where he met his wife Judith Ann Rundquist Burke of 32 years. He was a member of The Moose Club and The VFW. He was a patriotic man who loved his country.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Judith Ann Rundquist Burke; his two step sons, Kenny (Michelle) Reno and Richard (Christy) Reno; his grandchildren, Trinity (Keri), Kaley Burke, Harlee Reno, Parker Reno, Cole Reno, Dillon Reno, and Grant Reno; he is also survived by, Sandy Burke, Vincent Burke, George Burke, Russell Wilson, and Missy Wilson and his great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by, his two children, Jimmie and Tommy Burke; his two brothers, Joe and John Burke; a sister, Judy Burke; and his parents, Joseph and Marie Hull Burke.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Grace Cardun officiating. Burial will follow at Brook Hill Cemetery in Paducah.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the service hour of 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
