James “Jim” R. Cash, age 87, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Providence Pointe Healthcare in Paducah.
Jim was born on February 27, 1938, to the late James W. and Wilma Glenn Cash. Originally from Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Jim moved to Murray, Kentucky, after serving in the United States Army and National Guard. He met the love of his life, Sue Sircy, at Murray State . They were married for 58 years. Jim graduated from Murray State University in 1963 with a degree in Business Administration. After completing his degree, he worked as an Auditor in Frankfort, Kentucky, and was later transferred to Paducah. Jim had a successful business career and eventually retired from Image Graphics, Inc., where he served as Chief Financial Officer. After his retirement, Mr. Cash served as a member of the Murray State University Foundation Board of Trustees from 2003 to 2022, as well as past President and member of the Downtown Paducah Kiwanis Club, and on several condo association Board of Directors in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Jim was an active member of Broadway United Methodist Church, where he was a founding member of the Richard Roberts Sunday School class. He was also an avid golfer and was the past President of Rolling Hills Country Club.
Mr. Cash is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Sircy Cash, and his parents. He leaves behind countless loving and cherished friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Broadway United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Justin Ramer officiating. Inurnment will take place following services at the Broadway United Methodist Church Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the service time of 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the church.
