James C. Webb

James C. Webb, beloved community member and dedicated servant, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on March 13, 2024. Born on September 2, 1941, in Carlisle County, Kentucky, James dedicated 39 years of his life to General Tire before retiring.
 
His commitment to public service was unmatched; he volunteered as a firefighter for over half a century with Arlington and Milburn Fire Departments and served with the Carlisle County Rescue Squad for 25 years. James's penchant for community service also led him to the role of Deputy Jailer for three years. He was a proud member of the Parkway Church of Christ and upheld the values of the Bardwell Masonic Lodge #499 for 19 years.
 
When not serving his community, James was an avid outdoorsman, delighting in the simplicities of hunting and fishing. His legacy is etched not only in his deeds but in the hearts of all he touched throughout his inspiring lifetime.
 
James is survived by three sons, Jim Webb (Lynn) of Louisville, Kentucky, Tim Webb (Sheila) of Maryville, Tennessee, and David Webb of Arlington; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Alpha “Dale” Webb; his parents, Paul and Rebecca Payne Webb; and one great-grandchild.
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Rickie Brockwell officiating.  Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the 2:00 pm service time on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington.
