James Bernard “Bernie” Hayden

James “Bernie” Hayden, age 72, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Calvert City Nursing & Rehab Center.
 
Bernie was born on July 26, 1952 to the late George B. Hayden and Joann Woeltz Hayden.  Bernie was a long time member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Bernie was retired from the P & L Railroad.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and formerly served as District Deputy.  Bernie enjoyed his many trips to the beach.  He had a keen interest in studying Genealogy and spent many hours looking up family records.
 
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer (Justin) Ross of Calvert City, KY; two sons, Chris Hayden of Kevil, KY and Josh (Nancy Campbell) of Mesa, AZ.; five grandchildren, Kiersten Hayden, Brady Ross, Tyler Ross, Ariana Gibson and Dominic Hayden; two great-grandchildren, Kialer Gibson and Mallory Hayden; three sisters, Margie Heiar, Patsy (Tommy) Hayden, Linda O’Brien; two brothers, Philip (Melody) Hayden and Mel (Debbie) Hayden; several nieces and nephews.
 
Preceding in death was his wife, Connie Burns Hayden; parents, George B. Hayden and Joann Woeltz Hayden; one brother, Joe Hayden.
 
Services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Clark officiating.  Burial will follow at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday, March 14, 2025 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.  Prayers will be said at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
