Jacob Sanderson, known affectionately as Jacob to his friends and family, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Mercy Health at Lourdes.
Born on September 12, 1989, in Paducah, Kentucky, he was a man of faith and a devoted member of the Pentecostal community.
He could often be found strumming melodies on his guitar, which he played with as much joy as skill. Video games offered him worlds to explore, challenges to conquer, and brought him countless hours of enjoyment. At the pool table, Jacob was a friendly competitor who loved the clash of balls and the strategy of the game.
Jacob is survived by his father, Gary Alvin Sanderson of Paducah; a half-sister, Sarah O’Guinn and her husband Brett of Fancy Farm, Kentucky; a half-brother, Benjamin Sanderson of Paducah; his maternal grandmother, Daisie Dowdy of Paducah; his paternal grandmother, Virginia Kathryn Dowdy of Paducah; an uncle, Craig Sanderson of Reidland; aunts and uncles, Phyllis and Ricky Futrell of Symsonia and Pamela and Carl Ellis of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Christina Ann Snedeker Bennett.
There will be no services.
