Jackie Sanders, age 95, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 10:23 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Jackie was born on December 3, 1929, in Paducah, to the late Troy Wyatt Clark and Ruby Gipson Clark. Jackie was a 1948 graduate of Tilghman High School. She was a member of the Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Gage, Kentucky.
Jackie was a long time member of the Lone Oak Woman’s Club where she she served as President and on various committees. Jackie worked at West Ky. Motors, Turner Communications, and was a greeter for many years at Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
In the 1950s, Jackie led music at Immanuel Baptist Church and worked with the Sunday afternoon Children’s Mission Program. She cooked for some 300 people at Lone Oak First Baptist Church on Wednesday night for eight years and was a member of the church choir.
Survivors include one daughter, Shawn (Ricky) Turner, and one son, Alan (Nancy) Sanders both of Paducah; two grandsons, Brett (Jackie) Sanders of Cincinnati, Ohio and Brad Sanders of Nashville, Tennessee; two great-grandchildren, Caleb Alan Sanders and Marcus Clark Sanders of Cinncinnati, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Martin of Milan, Tennessee; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding in death was her husband, James (Jim) Sanders, parents, one sister, Marilyn Clark Cooper; three brothers-in-law, Weyman Martin, Jack Cooper, and Buford Little and sister-in-law, Margie Little.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Drew Gray officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 2:00 p.m. Entombment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
