Jackie E. Tilford

Jackie E. Tilford, age 66, of Kevil, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Jackie was born in Paducah on January 1, 1959 to the late Alben Barkley Tilford and Alice Wallace Tilford. He was a lifelong member of Bethel Christian Church in Kevil, Kentucky where he was famous for handing out peppermints to anyone in need. Jackie dedicated over 30 years of service as a mechanic at USEC and Four Rivers Nuclear, alongside years of working at his father's shop, Tilford's Garage in Grahamville, Kentucky.

Known for his love of crappie fishing and tending to his vegetable garden, Jackie's passion for life and his work ethic were unparalleled. His good nature made him the neighborhood's "fix-it" man and his humor and friendliness touched the hearts of many. Most of all, Jackie adored his grandchildren, never hesitating to indulge their every request.

Jackie is survived by his daughter, Jade (Brooks) Beale of Mayfield, Kentucky; his son, Jace (Heather) Tilford of Kevil; his sister, Cathy (David) Bottoms of Boaz, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Delaney Tilford and Andi Kate Beale; three nephews, Eric Bottoms, Chris Bottoms and Shaun Duncan; a niece, Mandy Miller; his mother-in-law, Vera Duncan; and several cousins and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Duncan Tilford; and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Bro. Nate Hillenbrand and Bro. Keith Tilford officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Christian Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Sunday, February 9, 2024 at the funeral home.
