Hugh Allen Anderson

Hugh Allen Anderson, born on November 26, 1948, in Danville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, in Metropolis, Illinois. Hugh was a proud United States Navy veteran, serving his country with honor and dedication.

Known for his exceptional sense of humor and his playful sarcasm, Hugh brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He was a loving father whose guidance and affection were boundless. His charisma and jovial spirit will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all those fortunate enough to have been a part of his life.

Hugh's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to the values of loyalty and service. His legacy lives on in the cherished memories shared by those he loved and the community he held so dear. Hugh will forever remain in our hearts, a true testament to a life well lived.
 
Hugh is survived by a son, Zacharius Anderson of Wickliffe, Kentucky; two daughters, Nikki Anderson of Danville, Illinois, and Amanda Williams of Washington; and a brother, Harry Edward Anderson
 
He was preceded in death by a sister, Regina; and his parents, Harry Edward and Jennie Buckellew Hoaks.
 
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with Bro. Robert Goodman officiating.
 
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 1:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Paducah.
