Hubert "Butch" Joshua Tucker, Jr., aged 78, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on December 20, 2024. Born in Fulton, Kentucky on May 10, 1946, Butch was known for his vibrant spirit and dedication to his craft. A retired painter, his skilled hands contributed to the beauty of landmarks such as Lourdes Hospital and the Graves County Jail.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Butch served his country with honor before establishing his roots back home. In his leisure, he was an avid fan of role-playing video games, a testament to his love for adventure and storytelling. Despite his ornery nature, Butch's deep care for his family was the essence of his character, as he always had a way of showing his affection through actions more than words.
Butch is survived by five sisters, Ruth Baker of Paducah, Ann Jones (Chuck) of Owensboro, Kentucky, Sheila Jones of Cadiz, Kentucky, Alyce Wellman of North Carolina and Reba Wiggins (Kenny) of Wingo, Kentucky; three brothers, Mike Tucker of Mayfield, Jimmy Tucker of Murray and Tommy Tucker of Kansas City, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Walatkicwicz Tucker; his parents, Hubert J. Tucker, Sr. and Helen Buchanan Tucker; and his daughter, Michelle Tucker.
