Henry Walter Hillmann, Jr. passed away on October 4, 2024, at Baptist Health, in Paducah, Kentucky, with his family by his side. Born on February 13, 1938, in Oak Park, Illinois, Hank was renowned for his dedication to his career, retiring as a respected engineer from Westlake Chemical after 45 years of commendable service, which began in 1964 with BF Goodrich Specialty Chemicals as Calvert City, Kentucky grew its chemical manufacturing complex.

Hank's legacy comprises notable service both to his country, as a member of the United States Navy, and to his community as an Assistant Scout Master for Troop 18. Upholding the esteemed values of Scouting, he was honored with the Order of the Arrow and led by example in his role. His leadership further extended to serving as President of the Instrument Society of America's Paducah Chapter and being recognized as a Kentucky Colonel. An outdoorsman at heart, Hank found solace and joy in nature. His passions for fishing, boating, canoeing, camping, and cruising echo the adventures that he cherished and shared with many. Hank's unwavering spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed, yet his memories and the indelible impact he left behind will continue to inspire.

Everyone who knew Hank knew his full measure of devotion as an active member of both the Marshall County and Paducah South camps of Gideons International.  As an accomplished student of theology, his commitment to gospel missions was evident in his love for sharing everything he learned, with everyone he met.

Hank is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Lynn Hillmann of Paducah; a daughter, Holly (Jimmy Maddox) Hillmann of Calvert City; a son, Andrew (Cathy) Hillmann of Shalimar, Florida; four grandchildren, DJ (Amanda) Story of Murray, Hunter (Haley) Hillmann of Calvert City, Steven Maness of Paducah, and Nicole (Jordan) Myers of Dexter, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Carter Story, Lindley Story, and Lawson Story; and a Brother-In-Law, Nick Cloyes.
