Frank McClelion, 91, of Paducah, KY, went to live with the Lord Friday, August 25 surrounded by his family at Lourdes Hospice.
Mr. McClelion was born January 22, 1932 in Columbia South Carolina to the late Ethyl Reynolds McClelion & Frank H. McClelion, Sr. The family moved to Paducah and he graduated from Tilghman High School in 1950, where he led the tack team to the state championship several years.
Mr. McClelion attended Paducah Junior College, working for Bunny Bread Co. & Mississippi Boat Company, as a riverboat pilot. He joined TVA in 1959, working at the Shawnee Steam Plant until he retired, moving to Fountain Hills, AZ.
Mr. McClelion was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fountain Hills, AZ, serving as Senior Director. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, and the Fountain Hills Men’s Club where he enjoyed playing golf & being the reigning billiards champion for several years.
Moving back to Reidland in 2020, Mr. McClelion is survived by his wife and best friend, Dorothy McClelion; his daughter, Ann McClelion-Callender of Jupiter, FL; two grandchildren, Stephanie Bratt of Hobe Sound, FL, Craig Callender of Paducah, KY; six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
At Mr. McClelion’s request, no services will be held at this time due to his wife’s illness.
