Eva Raines

Eva Raines, age 86, of Lone Oak passed away at 1:20 a.m. Saturday May 20, 2023 at her home. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on December 16, 1936 to Joseph and Annie Sue Hampton Bolton. Eva was a member of the Lone Oak Church of Christ and served as church secretary for 24 years.  She worked at the Christian Counseling Center for 3 years.  Eva was active in the church mission work, found time to volunteer for Red Cross and was a member of the TOPS Group.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Castle (Cameron) and one son, Hugh Robert Raines, Jr., both of Paducah; one brother, Austin Bolton (Charlotte), Warrior, AL; four grandchildren, Lyndsay Goodwin (Josh), Laurel Herndon (Matt), Zane White (Ashley) and Austin Raines (Laura); twelve great-grandchildren, Avery Goodwin, Gunner Goodwin, Cash Goodwin, Piper Anderson, Beckham Anderson, Leah Herndon, Allie Herndon, Georgia White, Nora White, Charlotte Raines, Cameron Raines, Calvin Raines and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Robert Raines Sr.; two sisters, Mildred Anne Bailey, Faye Pennington; four brothers, Marvin Bolton, James Bolton, Thomas Bolton, William Bolton, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Jamey Boone officiating.  Burial will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2023 at Ebenezer Cemetery in Jackson, Tennessee.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Austin Raines, Avery Goodwin, Gunner Goodwin, Cade Churchill, Carter Churchill and Zane White. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Cash Goodwin, Beckham Anderson, and Canon Churchwell.
