Eva Jean Westerfield Blackford, age 87, of Kevil, Kentucky, passed away at 7:03 A.M. Monday, July 17, 2023 at her home.
Eva was born in Danville, Kentucky on Friday, January 3, 1936 to Harry and Edith Westerfield. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens, fishing, and watching her beloved KY Wildcats. Eva was a member of Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Blackford is survived by her daughters, Lynn Jones (Paul) of Lone Oak, Kentucky, Barbara Turner (Lee) of Kevil, Susan Lanier (Steve) of West Paducah, Kentucky, Rita Jo Blackford of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Kathy Kneer (Bill) of Lone Oak; her sons, Thomas Blackford (Suzanne) of West Paducah and Pete Jones (Debbie) of Lone Oak; her sister, Crystal Whitehouse of Danville; her grandchildren Heather Perdue, Eric Williams, Brad Jones, Candace Ervin, Brian Morrow, Joshua Hook, Lee Michael Turner, Amber Turner, Kenzie Blackford and Hayden Blackford, Rachel Roberts, Brayden Eaves, Preston Roberts, Ryan Roberts; her great grandchildren Mason & Mabrey Perdue, Cora Williams, Ryan, Andrew & Emma Jones, Megan & Katie Morrow, Mady Hook, Carson Williams & Colson Leigert, Lucas Blackford, Lars Blackford, Blaine Russell, Aria & Ada Faye Roberts, Kyran and Kylie Ervin.
Mrs. Blackford was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Billy Joe Blackford; her daughter Gladys Yvonne Jones; her parents, Harry Westerfield and Edith Craig Westerfield; her sisters, Daisy Turner, Leona Riley and Alma Blevins; her brother, John Westerfield and Grandson Thomas Gage Blackford.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Paul Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Friday, July 21, 2023 and 12:00-1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the funeral home.
