Eva Inez Jerrell, 93, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on June 15, 2025, at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital.
Born on May 16, 1933, in Lovelaceville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William Sherman DeJarnett and Mollie Dodson DeJarnett.
Mrs. Jerrell was a graduate of Heath High School. She dedicated many years of service to her community, working for Jackson Purchase Electric for 10 years and later serving in a clerical position with Paducah Power System for 11 years. She was a faithful member of Concord United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Jerrell is survived by her son, Barry Jerrell, and wife, Hollye, of Kevil; a grandson, Brennan Hurst of Sharon, Tennessee; and two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Braylee Hurst.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jerrell was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Voris E. Jerrell; brothers Arnold and Eugene DeJarnett; and sister, Leona Barnett.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in LaCenter, KY, with Rev. Larry Buchanan officiating.
