Elmer L. Yewell

Elmer L. Yewell, age 91, of Boaz, Kentucky passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 at his home.

Elmer was born on May 8, 1933 in Island, Kentucky to Frank and Glady Fleener Yewell.  Elmer attended the Houser Grove Church of Christ.  He was retired from AT & T Communications.  Elmer was a proud veteran having served in the United States Air Force.  Elmer spent his extra time working on and tinkering with old tractors.  He had a keen interest in construction equipment and would keep a few pieces around on his farm.
 
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Jeanette Santeford Yewell; two sons, Gary (Linda) Yewell and Rodney Yewell, both of Boaz, Kentucky; one sister, Barbara (Raymond) Withrow of Owensboro, Kentucky; one daughter in law, Vanette Yewell; seven grandchildren, Candice Stimson, Caitlin Yewell, Brooke (Mike) Lawrence, Meagan Wray, Hunter Yewell, Walker Yewell, Wesley (Sonia) Yewell; nine great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Lawrence, Elli’J Lawrence, Madlyn Wray, Miley Wray, Mabry Beyer, Anna Dale Yewell, Logan Yewell, Sophia Yewell and Maverick Yewell; several nieces and nephews.
 
Preceding in death was one son Alan Yewell; parents; three sisters, Voyne Yeiser, Edna Anderson, Avis Moye and one brother, Frank “Doc” Yewell.
 
Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Houser Grove Church of Christ Cemetery with Craig Yates officiating.  Visitation will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
