Elizabeth Ann Carter

Elizabeth Ann Carter, age 88, of Bardwell, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Life Care Center of La Center.
 
Ann was born in Bardwell on August 13, 1936, to the late Arnold “Sug” and Martha Hudgens. She was a longtime member of Bardwell United Methodist Church before attending Corinth United Methodist Church in Cunningham. Ann was a beautiful soul whose life was defined by her faith and strength in God. She loved serving the Lord and was involved in numerous church activities, including the United Women In Faith group.  Ann also enjoyed being outdoors, especially tending to her flowers in the spring and summer.  She was a loving, nurturing wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Ann never missed a chance to support her grandchildren during sporting events and be there for her family when in need.
 
Ann is survived by her daughter, Dana (Bradley) Polivick of Bardwell; two sons, Denver Blake Carter of Paducah and Charles Carter of Milburn; two sisters, Phyllis Jean Hughes of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Brenda Watson of Bardwell; a brother, Joe (Jane) Hudgens of Bardwell; eight grandchildren, Kendra (Andy) Hayden, Kirstin (Chance) Futrell, Nicole (Dylan) Sonnek, Kayla Stephens, Chase Stephens, Spencer (Bryce) Polivick, Justin (Millicent) Polivick and Karen Polivick (Jon); 15 great-grandchildren, Payton and Parker Hayden, Nolan and Nadalyn Futrell, Kylar Scott, Adalynne and Baker Sonnek, Izabella and Rory Jo Fuller, Declan and Kipton Stephens, Kolton and Ellison Polivick, Vincent Polivick, and Jaxon Wissinger.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Charles Richard Carter; a granddaughter, LaCresha Ann Carter; and her parents. 
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell. 
 
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the service time of 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the funeral home.
