Margaret Elaine Craddock, age 88, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away on January 4, 2025 in her home surrounded by her devoted daughters.
Elaine was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, on September 10, 1936 to the late Joseph Dale Mitchell and Margaret Johnson Mitchell. She was fondly known as Mom, Elaine, Mitch and Grammy. Elaine acquired her nursing degree from Meredith College/ Rex Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. She spent the majority of her nursing career in the field of labor and delivery, lovingly and gently assisting many souls into this world.
Elaine hobbies included knitting, crocheting, watching the hummingbirds, flower gardening, reading and quality time with grandchildren. She had a special interest and supported the Paducah Symphony in attendance and helped with the youth scholarships.
She was the best mother any child could hope for and is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Poat, Ledbetter, Kentucky and Jennifer (Mike) Robinson, Milford, Ohio. She was the most fun, generous and love spirited Grammy, and is survived by five grandchildren, Matthew (Lauren) and Leah Poat and Kyle, Hayley and Seth Robinson.
Preceding in death were her husband of 58 years, Gerald “Boonie” Craddock and her parents.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Rock Springs Cemetery in Fulton, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, from 10:00 a.m until 11:30 a.m.
