Edith Mae Martin, age 81, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away Monday, January 13, 2025. Edith was born on January 24, 1943, in Lawrenceville, Illinois to the late James William Patrick and Freda Mae Fornshell Patrick. Edith attended Southland Baptist Church for many years along with her husband. She retired as a bank teller for U.S. Bank. She enjoyed crocheting and watching University of Kentucky basketball and the Little League Baseball Series. She loved her family and having them around her.
Survivors include three sons, Keith (Betty) Martin, Murray, Kentucky, Steve (Mikki) Martin, and Michael Martin both of Paducah, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Ryan (Kathryn) Martin, Haleigh Martin, and Tyler Martin; four sisters, Sandy (Darryl) Cunningham, Hopkinsville, Kentucky Phyllis Tyler, Metarie, Louisana, Mary Jo (Tim) Desser, Lafayette, Indiana and Vanessa Black, Lawrenceville, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewayne C. Martin; two grandchildren, Ashley Martin and Brandon Martin; and one brother, George Black, and her parents.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Entombment will follow at the Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 17, 2025, from noon until service time of 2:00 p.m.
