On April 12, 2025, Heaven gained an angel. Dorothy Ross was welcomed home.
Dorothy was born on May 13, 1932. She was a member of Bardwell Baptist Church, where she enjoyed her Sunday School class and all the women in her church. Dorothy loved to play bridge and spent time with her fellow players regularly. She was an avid cook and made most of her dishes from scratch without recipes.
Dorothy was the best mother to her three daughters. She was preceded in death by Jo Ann Upton and Kimberly Wilson and is survived by one Daughter, Cathy Alvin (Mark). She was also preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Joe Ross; two sisters, Euple Atkins and Juanita Futrell; and a brother, Frank Colson.
She is also survived by her son-in-law, Robert Upton (Meg), two grandchildren, Rob Upton and Lori Simmons, along with four great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.
A private family ceremony will be held at a later date at Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell, Kentucky. Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Bardwell is in charge of the arrangements.
