Donna Suellen Kerler Lazzaro, 79, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

Donna was born on July 11, 1945, to the late, Charles and Helen Wilson Kerler in Oceanside, New York, and grew up in the Parkchester Community in The Bronx, NY.  

Donna devoted her life to her faith, husband, and family. She was a cherished member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, where her voice uplifted spirits as a member of the choir. Her dedication to service was evident as she humbly served as Eucharistic Minister and a Lector, enriching many lives through her roles. With a heart for the young, Donna was active in her earlier years with youth groups at multiple parishes. She, alongside her true love, Tony, also had a passion for working with other couples to enrich their relationship through Marriage Encounter. In addition to being a long time homemaker, Donna worked managing the day to day operations of several different business in her later life. She thoroughly enjoyed both the social aspect of this as well as the challenges of each role. Donna’s legacy of compassion and commitment to her church and community will fondly be remembered and live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Donna is survived by a son, Scott Lazzaro (Mary Beth) of Leesburg, Virginia; a daughter, Amy Grizzard (Cliff) of Sharpe, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Andrew Lazzaro (Liz), Elizabeth Lazzaro, Karson Riley (Dalton) and Audrey Grizzard (Matthew); a great-grandson, Luke Lazzaro; a brother, Glen Kerler of Colorado; and a sister-in-law, Elena Kerler of Lake Wylie, South Carolina as well as many neices and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost 60 years, Tony Lazzaro, her; and a brother, Brian Kerler.

Visitation begins at 11:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Paducah, KY on Friday, February 21st, 2025. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 pm Rev. Gary Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
