Deloris Jean Nichols

Deloris Jean Nichols, age 76, of Bardwell passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Mercy Health Lourdes in Paducah.  

She was born on May 7, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Silo and Beatrice Logsdon.  Deloris was a retired occupational therapy assistant and after her retirement, she cooked for the Carlisle Senior Citizens Center.  She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church but also attended Mississippi Baptist Church with her granddaughter.  Deloris loved to sew and make quilts, and in her free time she enjoyed watching movies and reading.

Deloris is survived by her husband of 57 years, Roger Lee Nichols; two daughters, Lela Nichols of Arlington and Sheila (Jeff) Warren of Glenwood City, Wisconsin; three sisters, Janice (Joe) Hayes of Nolan Dam, Kentucky, Judy (Johnny) Haycraft of Clarkson, Kentucky, and Jeanell (Dean) Allen of Leitchfield, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Destiny Nichols, Shania Warren, and Blake Warren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Randell Logsdon and Wendell Logsdon; an infant grandson, Joel Nichols; and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Bro. David Gossom and Bro. Shane Davenport officiating.  Burial will follow at Burkley Cemetery in Burkley, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell
