Davida Lou Reed-Hill, age 90, of Sharpe, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026, at Baptist Health Paducah. She passed peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father with her family by her side.
Davida was born on July 21, 1936, in Paducah, Kentucky, to Jack and Louise Reed. Through the faithfulness of her parents, she was raised with a strong foundation of faith that remained at the heart of who she was throughout her life. More than anything, Davida wanted to leave her family the same precious gift she had been given-the faith and trust in God and the desire to one day make Heaven their final home.
On August 13, 1954, she married Andrew Franklin (Frankie) Hill. They were married for 60 years.
She was a devoted member of Oaks Church of God, where her grandparents, Gottlieb and Sophronia Herzog Koerner, were charter members. Her parents, Monroe Jackson and Cora Louise Koerner Reed, were also members. She loved the Lord and her church, where she attended all her life and served in many capacities: church treasurer, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school Superintendent, and manager and cook for Oaks Church of God West Ky Camp Meeting. Davida was also a devoted member of the Marshall County Homemakers Association. Her favorite occupation was being a homemaker for her three children. Davida loved her family. She loved getting together monthly to celebrate family events. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and puzzles.
She is survived by her 3 children, daughter Debbie Croley (Pat), son, Kerry Hill (Lara), son, Mark Hill (Teresa), 8 grandchildren, Jared Croley, Dustin Croley, Shawn Croley, Autumn Boyd (Gary), Katy DiMarco (Dean) Andrew Hill, Katie Murphy (Sean), Andrew Granstaff (Maddi), 11 great grandchildren Kirklyn Boyd, Kolbe Boyd, Zoey Croley, Miles DiMarco, Paisley DiMarco, Nelly DiMarco, Lyda Granstaff, Arthur Granstaff, and baby Granstaff, Ellis Murphy and Colin Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Landon Leroy and Nina Mae Culp Reed, and Gottlieb and Sophronia Herzog Koerner, parents Jack and Louise Reed, husband Frankie Hill, and brother Darwin Reed.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Pastor Richard Dodds officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Sharpe, KY.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
