David Lee Wilson, 78, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, at Mercy Health Lourdes in Paducah. He was born on November 12, 1946, in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Gilbert and Era Nell Wilson. David's life was one of service, dedication, and passion.

David proudly served his country with the United States Air Force in the Vietnam War as a Special Forces member attached to the Green Berets. His bravery and commitment to his nation were hallmarks of his character, qualities that he carried into his civilian life. After his military service, David eventually established David Wilson Construction, which he owned and operated for 40 years. His leadership and expertise in the construction industry were widely recognized, and he generously shared his knowledge through his many years of service on the board of directors for both local and state Home Builders Association.

Beyond his professional achievements, David was an avid car enthusiast and collector. His love for automobiles was evident to all who knew him, and he found great joy in being a member of the Four Rivers Corvette Club. The roar of an engine and the shine of well-maintained chrome were among his favorite things. David's passion for the open road also extended to riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, a pastime that brought him immense pleasure and a sense of freedom.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Denise Feagain Wilson of Paducah; a loving daughter, Courtney Wilson of Paducah; a brother, Hal (Gregg Page) Wilson of Paducah; three sisters, Shirley (Dale) Binford of Paducah, Virginia Perdue of Paducah and Retha (Jeff) Chambers of Paducah along with several nieces and nephews.
