Clifton Hayden

Clifton Hayden, age 91, of Bardwell, Kentucky passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023.

Mr. Hayden was born in Carlisle County on August 25, 1931 to the late Earnest and Zada Hayden. He was a self-employed Carpenter and member of St. Charles Catholic Church.

Cliff Hayden was a genuine loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a mentor and friend of many.

As he said, he grew up a hard life, but his hard life was being a hard worker! A very down to earth man and a Christian son, working the farms, being a carpenter and he could build anything! He was a jack of all trades! Cliff Was a pillar of the community and loved by so many! Thank you all for loving him and for everything he has contributed and done for this community.

Clifton is survived by two daughters, Sharon Kay Hayden of Smyrna, Tennessee and Deborah Jean Hayden Compton (Richard Septer) of Bardwell; two sisters, Dorothy Elliott (Connie) of Fancy Farm and Eva Lou Toon (Donnie) of Fancy Farm; one brother, Gene Hayden (Lavella) of Fancy Farm; one stepdaughter, Cathy Work (Jesse) of Mayfield; three stepsons, Bryan England of Mayfield, David England of Mayfield and Kenny England of Mayfield. six grandchildren, Camille Woodruff Powell (Darrell Cantrell) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Selina Woodruff Walker (Ryan) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Kimberly Hayden Rundles of Paducah, James Tyler Hayden (Ashley) of Paducah; Bridget Heath of Paducah and Nicole Heath of Paducah; and twelve great-grandchildren, Brigham Lake Powell (Holly), Aleeya Johnson, Hayden Rundles, Amaiya Owens, Delaney Walker, Arabella Stevenson, Bailey Heath, Cayleeya Holder, Raylan Hayden, Ary Heath, Jameson Hayden and Evelyn Hayden.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rebecca Ann O’Conner Hayden; his second wife, Wanda England Hayden;his daughter, Bridget Ann Hayden; his son, James Ricky Hayden; his parents, Earnest and Zada Hayden; two sisters, Bell Hayden Toon and Joyce Ann Hayden; and one brother, Bert Hayden.

A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at St. Charles Catholic Church with Rev. Chrispin Oneko officiating. Burial will follow at St. Charles Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.

Visitation will also be held from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral mass time of Sunday, February 26, 2023 at St. Charles Catholic Church.
