Claude Earl Stanley, 87 of Mayfield passed away on November 30, 2024, at the Southgate Nursing & Rehab Center in Metropolis, IL. Claude was born on October 5, 1937, in Hickory, KY to the late Allen Dodd and Halla Mae Shemwell Stanley.
Claude was a retired US Army veteran whose military career was both distinguished and honorable. He bravely served his country in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. His unwavering commitment to his fellow soldiers and the nation earned him the deep respect of all who knew him.
He is survived by three sons, James P. (Jennifer) Stanley of Kansas City, MO; Michael T. (Wendy) Stanley of The Villages, FL and Mark A. (Paula) Stanley of Benton, KY; one sister, Helen Stanley; three grandchildren, Stefanie (Michael) Hartig, Jocelyn Stanley and Juliette Stanley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 61 years, Nerea Oblini Stanley; one sister, Luci Taylor; three brothers, Allan Stanley, Donald Stanley, and Charles Stanley.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah are in charge of all arrangements.
